Panorama from Siler Bald in Macon County

Image Taken February 20, 2009 Showing the Major Peaks in Clay County

Siler Bald, at 5,216 feet, offers a great view of the major peaks in Clay County as well as peaks in nearby Georgia and NC counties. It is on the Appalachian Trail about a four mile hike from the AT crossing on U.S. 64 at Winding Stair Gap between Franklin and Hayesville.

Chunky Gal, Potrock Bald and Tusquittee Bald in Clay County are marked, as are a few other peaks.
